Christmas at Inverlochy 2014

Christmas Eve

Our festivities begin on Christmas Eve with a Champagne Reception with Canapés at 6.30p.m. prompt, to give everyone the opportunity to meet their fellow guests over the Christmas break.

During the Reception, Lochaber Children’s Choir will perform on the main staircase at 6.45p.m. some new and traditional Christmas Carols. The Choir, which is mainly local children, visit the Castle annually and the singing, with the added atmosphere of candlelight, is a delightful way to spend the evening. This is followed by dinner accompanied by  our resident pianist, playing in the Great Hall.

Christmas Day

Wake up on Christmas Day where a truly festive breakfast awaits you. This morning why not brave the Winter Weather with a stroll around Inverlochy’s grounds, which offers stunning views of the Castle with Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain in the background. For those who wish less energetic pursuits, log fire burn welcomingly in the Great Hall, ideal for snuggling up to with a good book.

A glass of Champagne is served as Father Christmas promises to put in an appearance at 11.00a.m. bearing gifts to all our guests.

Traditional Christmas Day Lunch is served from 12.30pm.

Time to relax and recharge the batteries for our Festive Supper, which will be served this evening from 7.30pm - 9.30pm, during which our resident pianist will entertain us on the piano.

Boxing Day

Boxing Day, with a chance to sleep in this morning before Brunch is served between 8.00am and 10.30am.   After Brunch get your cameras ready to capture the spectacular Falconry Display on the front lawn at 10.30am, with Hawks, Owls and Falcons. You may even have the opportunity to join in!

At Inverlochy will host a Sheep Dog Trial followed by Clay Pigeon shooting at 1.30pm, where allocated times will be given.

The rest of the day is yours until dinner in the evening, with some light musical entertainment

The above rates for Christmas are applicable for a minimum of three nights based on the nights of 24th, 25th and 26th December and are based on two persons sharing a double or twin room. The TOTAL prices  in green are for total cost of a three-night stay for 2 persons, dinner, bed and breakfast, all activities and VAT (with the exception of the double as single price which shows the total cost for one person).

A 50% deposit will be required to secure a reservation.

* GATE LODGE - The Gate Lodge, which is situated near the road and is an approximate 3-minute walk to the Castle, comprises one double bedroom and one single room, one bathroom, one shower room and living room.  The kitchen area provides fridge, toaster, kettle and a microwave.  There are no other cooking facilities in the kitchen.  Breakfast is served at the Castle.  Unfortunately, room service is not available at the Gate Lodge.
