FESTIVE PACKAGES AT INVERLOCHY CASTLE

Christmas at Inverlochy 2020

Inverlochy is Scotland's finest luxury hotel and restaurant uniquely located amongst the glens, lochs and mountains of the West Highlands of Scotland.

Christmas Eve

  • Our festivities begin with afternoon tea on Christmas Eve, followed by a Champagne Reception with canapés at 6.30pm. During the Reception, The Music Shed Community Choir will perform on the main staircase at 6.45pm with some new and traditional Christmas Carols followed by dinner accompanied by our resident clarsach player, playing in the Great Hall.

Christmas Day

  • Wake up on Christmas Day where a truly festive breakfast awaits you. This morning why not brave the winter weather with a stroll around Inverlochy’s grounds, which offers stunning views of the Castle with Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain in the background. For those who wish less energetic pursuits, log fire burn welcomingly in the Great Hall, ideal for snuggling up to with a good book
  • A glass of Champagne is served as Father Christmas visits your bedrooms at 11.00a.m. bearing gifts to all our guests
  • Traditional Christmas Day Lunch is served from 12.30p.m. with our resident clarsach player, Marie Jo playing
  • The Queen's Speech will be available for viewing in the Front Hall at 3.00p.m.
  • Our Christmas Night cold supper will be served from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. in either our Dining Room or Room Service during which our resident pianist, Jillian will entertain us on the piano.

Boxing Day

  • Boxing Day, with a chance to sleep in this morning before Brunch served between 8.00am and 10.30 a.m. After Brunch get your cameras ready to capture the spectacular Falconry Display on the front lawn at 11.00 a.m., with Hawks, Owls and Falcons. You may even have the opportunity to join in!
  • At 12.30pm Inverlochy will host a Sheep Dog Trial followed by Clay Pigeon shooting at 1.30pm, where allocated times will be given
  • The rest of the day is yours until dinner in the evening, with some light musical entertainment from Mairi Jo, our Resident Clarsach player.

Terms & Conditions

To secure a room or suite at Inverlochy Castle we ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit upon reservation with the final 50% non-refundable payment made by 31st October 2020. Please note that our cancellation policy is 60 days prior to arrival, and should you wish to amend or cancel your reservation prior to this time, you will forfeit the deposit made up to this point. Reservations cancelled within 60 days of arrival are liable to be charged the full cost of the stay. It is advisable that you should cover yourself with travel indemnity.

Rates quoted are all per room and are inclusive of all meals and activities within the three-night package outlined above and VAT.

New Year at Inverlochy 2020/21

30th December 2020

  • Afternoon tea will be made available on your arrival
  • Dinner will be served from 6.30pm onwards. Our resident pianist will be playing this evening.

Hogmanay - 31st December 2020

  • Breakfast will be served between 7.00am – 10.00am
  • At 11.00am Inverlochy will host Clay Pigeon Shooting. Please advise a member of staff on arrival if you wish to participate.
  • Mulled wine and mince pies will be served at 12 noon in the Front Hall after the Clay Pigeon Shooting.
  • Full Afternoon Tea will be served in the Front Hall at 2pm.
  • In the evening, you are cordially invited to be our guests at a Champagne Reception commencing at 7.00pm accompanied by music from our resident pianist.
  • Black Tie Dinner is served at 7.30pm and our pianist will continue playing up until 9.00pm.
  • This evening's entertainment will be the Picts Ceilidh Band from 9.30pm—2am and will be assisted by the Hogmanay Party Live on television to count us down to midnight.
  • Our traditional Highland Piper will pipe in the New Year followed by a First Footer bringing good luck wishes to all.
  • A late supper of bacon rolls will be provided from 12.30am.

New Years Day – 1st January 2021

  • Brunch will be served from 9.00am - 11.00am
  • After brunch Inverlochy will be hosting a Sheep Dog Trial at 12.00pm
  • There will be an afternoon Falconry display in the grounds of the Castle at 1.30pm
  • Afternoon Tea will be served in the Front Hall from 2.30 - 3.30pm
  • In the evening there will be some light musical entertainment from Sara our resident harpist
  • A cold supper will be served between 7.00pm - 9.30pm

Departure Day - 2nd January 2021

  • Breakfast served between 7.00am - 10.00am

Weddings

Rates quoted are inclusive of all meals and activities within the three night package outlined above and VAT.

There is a minimum three night stay over Christmas and New Year based on the nights of 24th, 25th and 26th December or 30th, 31st December and 1st January.

Guests aged 8 years and over, sharing a room in an extra bed will pay half the adult price for that room type. If a child is under 8 years, then no accommodation is charged, but will pay for meals at the hotel.

* GATE LODGE - The Gate Lodge, which is situated near the road and is an approximate 3-minute walk to the Castle, comprises one double bedroom and one single room, one bathroom, one shower room and living room. The kitchen area provides fridge, toaster, kettle and a microwave. There are no other cooking facilities in the kitchen.  Breakfast is served at the Castle. Unfortunately, room service is not available at the Gate Lodge.
